University of Eastern Finland is a multidisciplinary Finnish research university with approximately 17,600 degree students and a staff of 3,500, operating across two campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio.

Its Centre for Photonics Sciences is a leading European hub for research in nanophotonics and optical sensing, with strong expertise in the development of novel photonic materials and integrated optical devices for imaging and spectroscopy applications.

Universtià di Pisa is a prestigious Italian public research university established in 1343, making it one of the oldest universities in Europe.

Its Department of Physics hosts a world-class group in THz photonics, with pioneering contributions to THz quantum cascade lasers, graphene-based THz detectors, and fast room-temperature THz imaging systems.

Elettra is a multidisciplinary international research center of excellence specializing in generating high-quality synchrotron and free-electron laser light and applying it in materials and life sciences.

Its 28 beamlines cover all major X-ray based techniques across spectroscopy, spectromicroscopy, diffraction, scattering, and lithography, with dedicated facilities for infrared microscopy and THz spectroscopy.

Center for Physical Sciences and Technology – FTMC

FTMC is the largest scientific research institution in Lithuania, conducting fundamental and applied research in laser technologies, optoelectronics, nuclear physics, organic chemistry, bio- and nanotechnologies, and electronics.

It hosts a dedicated Terahertz Photonics Laboratory internationally recognized for its expertise in THz emitters, detectors, and spectroscopic imaging systems.

Fondazione Bruno Kessler

FBK is a multidisciplinary research institution specializing in technology, innovation, the humanities and social sciences, established by the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Its Centre for Materials and Microsystems operates a nearly 1,500-square-meter clean room, and is a world reference in the production of silicon radiation sensors, MEMS, and photonic devices.

The University of Salerno is a well-established public academic institution with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research and innovation at both national and international levels.

Within the THz-Skin project, the University contributes through a multidisciplinary team bringing together expertise from the Department of Information and Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics and the Department of Pharmacy, integrating competencies in electromagnetics, photonics, bioelectronics, and biomedical sciences, alongside biological experimentation spanning both basic and translational approaches.

TERAVIL is a Lithuanian SME and manufacturer of photoconductive THz-range detectors, emitters, and complete THz time-domain systems for spectroscopy and imaging.

Operating in close proximity to FTMC, TERAVIL combines industrial manufacturing with access to state-of-the-art research infrastructure for THz component development.

Asteria Business Development Ltd

Asteria Business Development is a UK-based consultancy specialising in the commercialisation of high-tech research. The firm provides strategic advisory services to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and the marketplace, with a focus on photonics and quantum technology. It facilitates growth for deep-tech ventures through executive leadership and specialised business development expertise.
